PREFABAUS CONFERENCE PROMISES OVERSEAS + LOCAL PERSPECTIVES

THE 2017 PREFABAUS CONFERENCE WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 11 TO 13 SEPTEMBER AT THE GLASSHOUSE-OLYMPIC BOULEVARD, OLYMPIC PARK MELBOURNE, VICTORIA.

The conference’s keynote speaker has been confirmed as Mark Farmer, head of Cast Real Estate & Construction Consultancy, a specialist London based business focused on using innovative and non-traditional delivery models The author of the October 2016 UK Government Review of the Construction Labour Market Model entitled ‘Modernise or Die’, Farmer has over 28 years of experience in the construction and real estate sectors, 15 of those served as a partner of EC Harris (now Arcadis) with nine years leading their residential business.

He is a leading proponent of pre-manufacture led delivery in the UK to improve productivity and predictability for clients. His endeavours encompass the evolution of government policy as well as the implementation of greater levels of pre-manufacturing within the construction industry.

Meanwhile the list of invited speakers to the conference covers a broad spectrum of industry representatives that encompasses both Australian and international perspectives.

From a local perspective, a presentation from the team behind the Modular Construction Code will reveal how it was developed as well as insights into its guidance on design and construction. The conference will also see delegates receive a digital copy of the final Code handbook– marking the publication’s inaugural release to industry.
