FOLDABLE HOME GRABS BATON FOR QUICK BUILDS

A NEW RESIDENTIAL CONCEPT DESIGNED BY ARCHITECT RENATO VIDAL, UTILISES AN INNOVATIVE PATENTED FOLDING TECHNIQUE TO CREATE A HOUSE THAT CAN BE INSTALLED WITHIN A DAY.

Known as The M.A.Di house, the unfoldable unit is designed as an earthquake-resistant structure for residential, leisure and hospitality use.  Featuring an anchoring capability enabled by an innovative system with a screw pile foundations, the house is installed with an electrical system, plumbing and sanitary water system, heating/cooling system (air conditioning) and pvc frames.

The transportable structure can be folded up and easily relocated, or stored in a warehouse ready for the next installation.

The addition of solar panels can also enable M.A.Di. structures to be energy independent and function outside the grid.

The structure is available in five different sizes:

  • single module (27sqm — tiny)
  • double module (56smq — young)
  • double module (46sqm-luxury)
  • triple module (84sqm — family)
  • triple module (70sqm — cottage)

Assembly and finishing of roof pitches, intermediate floors, internal and external walls are completed on mounting boards. Meanwhile, protected by an international patent, special steel hinges enable the opening and closing movement of the M.A.Di house.

M.A.Di homes do not require any foundations when temporarily placed on a level ground.■
