Bee Breeders, an architecture competition organiser has launched its inaugural challenge dedicated to modular home design.
The Modular Home Design Challenge 2021 Competition is the first in a series of annual competitions focusing on the concept of modular architecture. A prize pool has also been established.
For this competition, participants are tasked with designing a modular home that can be constructed in any form or layout. The modular home can be set in a location of their choice, either rural, urban, or suburban. The jury will be looking for design concepts that show a critical analysis of what a home is and could be in an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world.
This is the first competition in an annual competition series and is being launched in combination with an essay competition on the same topic. As winning entries will be featured in the next edition of ARCHHIVE BOOKS’ ‘Modular Architecture’ publication, those designs that are the most innovative and inspiring will be favoured.
Competition is open to all. No professional qualification is required. Design proposals can be developed individually or by teams (4 team members maximum). Correspondence with organizers must be conducted in English; All information submitted by participants must be in English.
