A new prefabricated construction business has entered the NSW market with a manufacturing operation in Milperra targeting both complete buildings and factory-produced components.
Prefab Concepts, a subsidiary of Winsman Group, says it manufactures five product lines from the Sydney facility: prefab offices, wet-area pods, kitchens and kitchenettes, prefab houses and NDIS bathrooms.
The company is currently taking early project enquiries as manufacturing capacity becomes available.
Its target markets include government and community housing, developers, builders, education, healthcare, industrial facilities and remote accommodation.
Housing, workplaces and factory-built components
Prefab Concepts says its housing range includes single and multi-module dwellings, secondary dwellings and remote accommodation, while its office range covers site offices, sales suites and permanent workplace buildings.
Wet-area pods can incorporate structure, waterproofing, tiling, fixtures and services, while kitchen and kitchenette modules can be delivered with cabinetry, benchtops, sinks, tapware and service connections already installed.
The company also manufactures accessible bathroom units for temporary hire and permanent installation.
Prefab Concepts says modules are produced using engineered wall systems, factory-finished wet areas and pre-routed mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, supported by an in-house Inspection and Test Plan.
The business has not published the size of the Milperra factory, workforce numbers, annual production capacity or details of a confirmed project pipeline.
For now, the operation adds another Sydney-based manufacturer to the NSW offsite sector, with a business model spanning complete prefab buildings and repeatable building components.
