Offsite construction software innovator KOPE set for major expansion

KOPE secures seed funding for their online ‘offsite’ construction kit-of-parts platform.

KOPE, a UK-based software company specialising in developing an online offsite construction kit-of-parts platform, has recently secured £5.5 million (AUD $10.6 million) in seed funding.

This investment, led by Socii Capital, includes contributions from industry stakeholders such as Autodesk, Saint-Gobain, Barton Malow Ventures, Halkin Private Capital, and Luck Investment. This financial boost is a significant ‘shot in the arm’ for KOPE’s expanding its online offsite construction kit-of-parts platform.

The primary objective of KOPE’s platform is to streamline the construction process, particularly in the design and pricing phases. They’re pitching it as a seamless integration of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional construction elements into digital models, to “get the data you need to make critical design decisions at the start of projects, reducing expensive rework further down the line and giving you accurate costs in minutes”.

KOPE offers two principal products: KOPE Construct and KOPE Market.

KOPE Construct is a tool designed to ease the transition to offsite construction methods, promoting the usage of prefabricated building elements and systems in construction projects. The thought process behind is to not only improve efficiency; but to also reduce construction waste, encouraging more environmentally sustainable building practices. Conversely, KOPE Market functions as a networking platform, forging connections between builders, suppliers, and consultants. It’s positioned as a forum for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of innovation within the industry.
