Bowmer + Kirkland, one of the leading construction firms in the UK with an annual turnover of £1.2b, announced last week it had bought Innovaré Systems, a company specialising in offsite construction using structural insulated panels (SIPs). The decision to acquire Innovaré is said to have been based on the long-standing collaboration between the two companies. Bowmer + Kirkland and Innovaré have worked together for a number of years on research and development aimed at reducing carbon emissions and achieving Net Zero Carbon (NZC) targets on education schemes.
Jack Kirkland, chairman of The Bowmer and Kirkland Group of Companies, commented on the acquisition, saying: “Our imminent acquisition of Innovaré assets, people and the brand, is the right thing for us to do and, now that we are all under one roof, will be a major benefit for our clients. The strength of the group will help Innovaré fulfil its potential.”
Launched in 2007, Innovaré specialises in offsite construction using SIPS, and builds for the educational, residential and health sectors.
