Welcome to the first edition of 2021 Built Offsite_Monday!

Our weekly newsletter launched last year has assuredly taken over where its predecessor Built Offsite (print) carved out a new and burgeoning message about all things prefab.
The path to prefabrication is assured, and with our primary industry partner prefabAUS, professional associations and building industry alliances on board – we’ll continue to deliver you insights, market knowledge and news that will prime you to explore your journey to prefabrication.

The COVID-19 mandated shift to working from home has necessitated the adoption of BIM (Building Information Modelling) software by many professions in the built environment, and the shift to BIM, is at the very heart of offsite construction. Collaborating on a single file that follows the lifecycle of a building from inception through to demolition delivers efficiency and cost savings that can’t be ignored. Why not include transportation costs (there is some work being done on this) into the BIM file as well and really drive its efficiency.

I hope you continue to enjoy your weekly diet of prefab, and I encourage you to submit any news, scheduled prefab builds, product developments you’d like us to share with our readers.

Have a great day.
