ModnPods set to service the Victorian market with their modular solution

Victorian expansion by ModsPods complements existing modular solutions offered by Queensland based modular manufacturer.

ModnPods, a Queensland-based modular home manufacturer, has broadened its reach by extending its supply and installation services to Victoria. This expansion complements their existing services across Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory, as announced by the company.

In August last year, ModnPods also opened their new modular home factory in Arundel, Queensland. The state-of-the-art 6,200 square metre facility was also a significant moment in the company’s manufacturing capability.

The opening of this new facility follows a substantial strategic investment by the Queensland Government through the Business Investment Fund, managed by the Queensland Investment Corporation. The investment underscores the government’s support for innovative housing solutions and job creation in the region.

Their new Arundel modular construction factory is expected to quadruple ModnPods’ manufacturing output, and this increase in capacity is coupled with a significant reduction in construction time. Modular homes, which previously took 16 weeks to build, can now be completed in 24 days, a 70 percent decrease in production time from their previous manufacturing processes.

This enhanced efficiency means the factory is now capable of producing a new modular home pod every three days.

The company’s enhanced production capabilities and its strategic initiative to extend services are likely to stimulate further growth in a sector that is rapidly gaining traction as a sustainable alternative to traditional home construction.

ModnPods was established in 2015 by John Christie, an American expatriate and former search-and-rescue operator for the US Navy.
